During commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 12th at the Civic Auditorium in Omaha, the following individuals were awarded degrees of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry:

  • Matthew received assistantships to Florida State University, Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, the University of Miami, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Oklahoma.

  • Victoria Lynn Faust


  • Nicholas Ryan Harn

  • Nick received the American Institute of Chemists Award, for biochemistry. He also received the Department of Chemistry Distinguished Research Award.

  • William Joseph Nienaber, magna cum laude

  • Bill is a member of Phi Lambda Upsilon, the national chemistry honor society.

  • John Mose Roberts, Jr.


  • Jay Patrick Roby, summa cum laude

  • Jay received a Certificate of Recognition from the Honors Program. He is a member of the Order of Omega, the national honor society for leadership in fraternity and sorority activities, and of Phi Delta Beta, the national honor society for international studies, and of Phi Lambda Upsilon, the national chemistry honor society. Jay is also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Creighton's leadership honor society.

  • Doug is a member of Phi Lambda Upsilon, the national chemistry honor society, and of Theta Alpha Kappa, the national theological honor society. He is also a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society for scholarship, loyalty, and service. Doug received the Leadership in Ministry Award, for outstanding leadership at Creighton University.
